Countess Mountbatten House is a 27 bedded inpatient unit, which is this year celebrating 40 years of providing excellence in specialist palliative care services. We are part of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust based on a satellite site east of the city. We offer extensive supportive services to patients with malignant and non-malignant life limiting illness, encompassing symptom control, re-enablement, psychological and spiritual support as well as end of life care. We work closely with community and hospital specialist teams.
We’re looking to recruit compassionate, enthusiastic healthcare professionals ranging from healthcare assistants to registered nurses to join us on the inpatient unit. You don’t need to have palliative care experience to join our team, as long as you’re hard working, resilient and empathetic.
- a staff nurse or healthcare assistant interested in caring for patients in a palliative setting
- dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic about your work
- committed to providing attentive, holistic, patient-centred care
- a team player willing to be challenged in your delivery of outstanding quality care
then we’d love you to join our friendly, compassionate team.
The CQC awarded Countess Mountbatten House an overall 'Good' in 2015 with patients and relatives describing the care and treatment they received as excellent care and support provided in a caring, compassionate manner.
Please note, attendance will be strictly by invitation only. You can apply for this event here.
