We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Head, Neck and Thyroid Cancer Care Support Worker to join our dynamic specialist nursing team at Southampton General Hospital.

This key role supports the coordination and delivery of care for patients across the Head, Neck and Thyroid cancer pathways. Working under the supervision of the Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialists, you will play a vital part in ensuring that every patient’s journey is smooth, efficient, and centred around their individual needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Coordinating and tracking patients along their cancer care pathway, ensuring timely appointments and continuity of care.

Providing both clinical and administrative support to the specialist nursing team and the wider Head and Neck Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).

Acting as a compassionate and reliable point of contact for patients and families, offering reassurance, information, and guidance throughout their care journey.

Assisting in the preparation and follow-up of outpatient clinics, and supporting audits and data collection to enhance service quality and patient outcomes.

You’ll join a highly skilled, friendly, and forward-thinking specialist nursing team, working closely with consultants, allied health professionals, and administrative colleagues across the Head and Neck MDT.
