We are looking for an HCPC registered dietitian with experience of working in critical care to join our team of ICU dietitians at Southampton General Hospital on a fixed term basis due to an internal promotion.  The post holder will provide specialist nutrition support across our three adult intensive care units – general, cardiac and neurosciences as well as our surgical high care.  

UHS is a tertiary centre for many services including HPB, upper GI surgery, haematology, neurology, cardiac surgery and intestinal failure and so we provide care for some of the South’s most critically ill patients. You will join our team of experienced critical care dietitians and friendly and varied multidisciplinary team; as a member of the multidisciplinary team you will participate in ward rounds and MDT meetings.  There will also be opportunities to get involved in research trials, teaching of medical and nursing staff, service evaluations and service developments. 

The department of dietetics and speech and language therapy employs approximately 130 staff, providing both acute and community services in adults and paediatrics across a range of specialities.
