COVID-19 RECRUITMENT UPDATE
We’re incredibly proud of our staff and the way they have responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. While we continue to care for all our patients, including those who have tested positive for COVID-19, the health and wellbeing of our staff will always be a key priority.
As we navigate the next phase of the pandemic, our decisions continue to be guided by our UHS Trust values and our desire to put the safety and care of our patients first. We’re therefore asking that all new colleagues joining our UHS family are vaccinated, or welcome the opportunity to be vaccinated, against COVID-19.
This means that every new member of staff will be asked to be vaccinated or provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination upon joining UHS. We understand this information is sensitive personal health data and we are committed to complying with the data protection guidance.
If you are considering applying to a vacancy with UHS, please ensure that either you have been vaccinated or that you are comfortable being vaccinated against COVID-19 and that you understand that we are treating COVID-19 positive patients within our hospital. Your commitment will help us to put the safety and care of our patients first, as well as helping us to protect you and your future colleagues.
We recognise that some individuals may have a reason for exemption. Each individual exemption case will be considered, and we are very happy to discuss your personal circumstances with you where appropriate.
