This is an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Neuro Sleep Physiology Team as a technician on a part-time (18.75 per week) basis, supporting diagnostic services for a range of childhood sleep disorders. 

The Southampton Children’s Hospital specialist sleep service is one of only a handful of comprehensive paediatric sleep centres in the UK and services a large geographical area. The neuro sleep physiology team facilitates both home and inpatient sleep studies. We have a skill mix of professionals in our service including respiratory, neurology and a sleep medicine consultant, sleep fellows, clinical nurse specialists, sleep physiologists and sleep practitioners. You will report to the Senior Physiologist(s) in the team.

Clear and confident communication skills will be valuable in this role as you will be a main point of contact for our patients. You will also welcome the patients and families during their sleep study admissions and an ability to put them at ease as procedures are explained will be important. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter with good organisational skills. You will be a valuable member of our small, friendly and supportive team, who you will work closely in a unique and important role.

Training on procedures, policies, equipment and software will be provided.
