We are looking for an experienced respiratory Physiotherapist with an interest in long term ventilation to join our regional respiratory outpatient centre for a fixed 12m to cover maternity leave. This will involve assessing and treating patients with a range of complex respiratory conditions whilst working with the medical, nursing and physiotherapy team, prescribing ventilation, and assisted cough techniques parameters, as well as follow-up of patients in our Outpatient clinics, in their homes and other community settings, across the Wessex region.

The role will include both Physiotherapy-led clinics as well as involvement in MDT clinics and input for relevant cases in inpatients/community settings.  It will involve close liaison with community partners across the region to support patients and provide education for patients, 
carers and their families. 

As this post is part of the wider Therapy services department, you will have many opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge through our in-service training. You will be part of a large department of over 300 Therapy staff including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy support staff.

We provide a 7-day therapy service for our Trust and therefore you need to be able to work weekends and bank holiday, in a rota basis. This includes our acute respiratory out of hours service at night and weekends (On-call), and our long-term ventilation on-call service.
