We have a rare internal opportunity for a B6 Physiotherapist to work across our Trauma and Orthopaedics wards and MSK outpatients, covering maternity leave for 12 months.

This 12-month fixed-term post will be split into 6 months in Orthopaedics and 6 months in MSK Outpatients, offering valuable experience across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

IP: You will have the opportunity to manage inpatient elective orthopaedic and trauma patients, including major trauma. 

OP: The outpatient caseload consists of referrals from orthopaedic and rheumatology consultants, staff self-referral and occupational health. The OP therapy dept consists of a treatment room, therapy gym and hydrotherapy pool. 

You will be working as part of the Therapy OP team as well as working alongside the therapy team and wider MDT team on the orthopaedic wards, both teams consisting of Physiotherapists, OTs, and Therapy support staff.

The post holder will also be involved in the provision of our orthopaedic weekend service, as well as participating on the evening / night respiratory on call rota. 

You will be part of our Therapy services department and will have access to in-service training as well as UHS courses.
