Job Title: Advanced Practice Reporting Radiographer (Planar)

Contract Type: Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Advanced Practice Reporting Radiographer (Planar).

The post holder will need to be an autonomous individual, accountable for their professional actions within their scope of practice. We are looking for someone with reporting experience in one or more reporting anatomical areas. We can offer you a preceptorship programme and the opportunity to undertake further reporting. 

Reporting at UHS provides a unique opportunity to report on areas of specialism including major trauma, oncology, cardiology, neurology and many more. 

You will be expected to undertake all 4 pillars of advanced practice. This is a dynamic post with a balance of clinical, management and reporting duties. The reporting team undertakes autonomous planar reporting across all patient groups. All members of the reporting team are allocated protected reporting sessions per week (min 50%) with allocated radiographer reporting offices. Hours of work and work pattern can be negotiated at interview.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

In this role, your key responsibilities will include; 
•    Using your highly developed specialist knowledge and training as well as practical experience, to interpret, report and diagnose a wide range of pathologies’. 
•    Taking part (within scope of practice) in an acute reporting service to teams within the trust. 
•    Peer review and audit.
•    Working with others to deliver an effective and efficient high quality imaging service that meets the needs of both patients and referrers. 
•    Promoting planar and fluoroscopy excellence within the Radiographic team
•    Provide expert advice on specialism
•    Providing appraisals, education, and training to the staff group to ensure competency, capability and development.
•    Be an engaging educator and have high levels of communication skill both verbal and written.

What we’re looking for:
 
We welcome applicants who hold a minimum of a PgC in clinical reporting (MSK, Chest or Abdomen). Health and Care Professions Council registered and eligible to work in the United Kingdom. Indemnity Insurance or SOR membership.
