Hours are Monday to Friday between 08.30 – 16.30.(37.5 hours)
Southampton Vascular Unit is a tertiary referral centre of excellence for vascular surgery. It has strong links with the University of Southampton and is an integral subspecialty of the major trauma centre.
The Vascular Assessment Team are involved in patients attending for rapid access appointments, ultrasound scans and podiatry clinics. They also run pre assessment and surgical data collection for the unit.
All patients requiring aortic reconstruction, carotid surgery, lower limb bypass grafts, angioplasties and amputations are cared for in the Vascular unit. There will also be a full-time podiatry clinic running from the unit. The unit provides consultant-delivered care seven days a week with integrated multidisciplinary working and decision-making.
