About this role

As part of our team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues, helping to deliver excellent services and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Consultant or SAS doctor to lead the development and strategic direction of simulation-based education across UHS. 

As Simulation Medical Lead, you will drive implementation of the ASPiH Standards 2023, establish governance frameworks, and champion simulation as a tool for patient safety, human factors training, quality improvement and workforce development. Working closely with education, patient safety and clinical teams, you will shape innovative learning programmes, support faculty development, and help build a culture of excellence, safety and continuous improvement across the organisation.

This is a 1.5 PA role reporting to the Director of Education and Workforce and the Clinical Director of Patient Safety. Applicants must discuss their application with their clinical lead and ensure they have authorisation to accommodate the role in their job plan.
