Ophthalmology are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Matron to provide senior clinical and professional leadership across Ophthalmology services.

As Lead Matron, you will be a visible and influential senior clinical leader, working in close partnership with clinical and operational colleagues to drive improvements in quality, performance and service transformation in line with Trust objectives and national priorities.

This is a pivotal leadership role within a high profile and fast moving specialty, supporting the delivery of safe, effective and patient centred care across outpatient, surgical and emergency ophthalmology pathways. Ophthalmology at UHS is a tertiary referral and specially commissioned centre, with strong collaborative links across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight (HIOW) Integrated Care System (ICS).

Our ophthalmology services are delivered across both Southampton General Hospital and Lymington New Forest Hospital.
