We have an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Congenital Cardiac Co‑ordinator .
The Paediatric Congenital Cardiac Co‑ordinator plays a pivotal role in the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care for children and young people with congenital heart disease.
This role is responsible for coordinating the patient pathway from referral through diagnosis, intervention, and follow-up, ensuring timely access to specialist services and seamless communication between multidisciplinary teams.
The role directly contributes to organisational objectives by improving patient flow, reducing waiting times, and supporting compliance with national congenital heart disease standards. By ensuring accurate data collection and reporting, the co-ordinator also supports clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and service development.
Furthermore, as a Band 6 you'd support a culture of multidisciplinary collaboration, continuous improvement, and evidence-based practice, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care throughout their journey.
The Paediatric Congenital Cardiac Co‑ordinator team consists of two Band 6 co‑ordinators and two Band 4 support staff, and is supported by a Matron.
