We are looking for a a proactive, enthusiastic senior nurse to gain leadership experience on G3 covering maternity leave. 

G3 is a 16 bedded ward in a major trauma hospital specialising in caring for paediatric trauma, orthopaedic and spinal patients aged from 0-18.

You will be the Nurse in Charge of a busy surgical ward and work closely with the multi-disciplinary team. You will also have a group of junior nurses to support and develop and be in charge of doing appraisals.  

Also manage the patient flow and staffing out of hours and a senior nurse, liaising with all wards and the emergency department, attending crash calls and emergencies. We are looking for a positive role model who supports trust values. 

You will directly report to your ward manager and also have a team of supportive child health matrons.
