We are seeking an experienced and motivated Respiratory Nurse Specialist to work in the Respiratory Outpatient Centre as a joint Deputy role.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician with a focus on patient care and leadership skills to join our team delivering expert patient-centred respiratory care.

With the support of the Respiratory Centre Lead nurse, you will play a key role in leading and managing outpatient services, supporting patients with chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD, Asthma, Bronchiectasis and other complex respiratory disorders.

The successful candidate will work autonomously and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams within Respiratory Medicine and across wider specialities. 

As a Respiratory Specialist Nurse within the Respiratory Centre you will be expected to have excellent communication skills, enhancing patient experience and supporting service development through evidence-based practice, education and clinical leadership in line with the Trust values.

Work autonomously and collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and develop patient-centred care pathways across services. Supervise, mentor and support nursing staff and students whilst being a role model for all and contribute to inter-professional team working.

Excellent communication, leadership and team-working skills, with the ability to support patients, colleagues and learners effectively. Provide specialist respiratory advice, assessment, education and support to patients, their carers and other health care professionals.

The post holder would ideally have access to a vehicle and a valid driving licence. This role operates within core working hours but could include weekend and bank holiday working.
