This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning Digital department within the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust as a Data Innovation Senior Analyst.
The role will support the Trust’s ambition to make better use of data, automation and emerging technologies to improve how services work. A key focus will be identifying and delivering practical data and automation solutions that reduce manual processes, improve efficiency and support administrative and operational teams across the hospital.
The postholder will work with colleagues across clinical, operational and corporate services to understand current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop safe, sustainable solutions using automation, analytics, dashboards and AI-enabled approaches where appropriate.
This role is also about helping the Trust build confidence and capability in new ways of working and technology. We are looking for someone who brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills, curiosity, and an ability to apply and develop emerging AI-based techniques in a real NHS environment.
The postholder will be part of a collaborative and forward-looking team focused on safe innovation, continuous improvement and translating new technology into practical benefits for patients, staff and services.
University Hospital Southampton is one of England's largest acute teaching Trusts, offering a wide range of learning and development opportunities to support your career aspirations.
Located on the south coast with an international airport and direct rail links to London, Southampton offers an ideal setting to live and work, with the New Forest, South Downs and Jurassic Coast.
We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. However, personalising your recruitment application to highlight your unique skills and experiences is crucial. Relying too heavily on generic, AI-generated content instead of drawing from your own strengths and accomplishments may lead to your application being rejected if multiple candidates present identical or similar information.
