The role focuses on the practical coordination and day to day running of research studies, ensuring that research activity is conducted safely, ethically, and in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research governance, and regulatory requirements.
The post holder will contribute to participant identification, recruitment and follow up, data collection and entry, and the maintenance of accurate study documentation. They will work closely with patients, clinical teams, academic partners, and external organisations, providing information and support to research participants and ensuring a positive participant experience.
The role requires effective communication, organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary research team. The post holder will follow established protocols and standard operating procedures, escalating issues appropriately and contributing to the smooth delivery of research activity within the department.
