Job Title:  Lead Test Analyst

Contract Type: Permanent 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and support the testing and implementation of upgrades to the Trust's electronic patient record systems.

This will involve working with internal development teams and external software suppliers on new functionality and bug fixes, planning testing cycles, and overseeing functional and regression testing. This will support the implementation of digital solutions across the Trust.

This role will report to the lead test analyst and will require close collaboration with business analysts, test analysts, developers and project managers from the digital development and digital projects teams.

Responsibilities will include:

- Leading, planning and managing the software testing for upgrades to internally developed and externally supplied applications.
- Managing a small team of test analysts to ensure that all testing is completed in line with project timescales
- Liaising with Trust stakeholders to understand their requirements and to support with user acceptance testing and sign-off

Experience and skills required:

• Degree in information and IT-related subject or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience
  - Demonstrable testing skills, training and use in a corporate/ health environment
  - Relevant experience of working with IQSTB processes or IQSTB qualification
  - Extensive experience of managing testing in highly complex technology-based projects
  - Demonstrate a track record of delivering successfully tested projects.
  - Working under pressure and tight deadlines
  - Able to read and comprehend clinical business requirements and high-level design deliverables well enough to commission and write detailed test cases
  - Proven ability to organise own work and the work of other testing professionals effectively.

Core hours for the team are between 8.00 and 18.00 Monday to Friday, but flexibility will be required depending on service needs.

UHS supports agile and remote working; regular attendance at Southampton General Hospital will be required in this role.
